Bernina Express Panorama Cars in Standard HO Gauge

The Bernina Express runs from Chur (or St. Moritz) in Switzerland all the way to Tirano in Italy, crossing the spectacular Albula and Bernina railway lines. These routes form a UNESCO World Heritage corridor, famous for the Landwasser Viaduct, Bernina Pass, and the iconic Brusio Circular Viaduct.

Recreate the magic of the legendary Bernina Express in HO scale with BEMO’s beautifully crafted passenger coaches. The Bernina’s famous panoramic journey cuts through spiralling viaducts, glittering glaciers, and the spectacular Bernina Pass in the Swiss Alps. This iconic RhB train embodies pure Swiss alpine charm. BEMO captures every detail with remarkable precision, from crisp livery work to authentic interior styling, making these HO scale RhB coaches a stunning centrepiece for any model railway layout or collector’s display.

Bernina Express cars are designed by BEMO for operation on both HO scale alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) system model train layouts. To achieve this, Bemo developed new standard-gauge bogies with NEM 362 coupler pockets, ensuring smooth running and easy compatibility with other rolling stock.

Ready for Upgrade

The bogies are factory-prepared for optional interior lighting. Pre-assembled wheel pickups are included—simply position them on the inner sides of the wheelsets if you choose to add lighting for DC cars. For AC operation, the pick-up shoe (Art. 6545 601) is required.
